National dishes, birthdays and football
Before everything else - one promised photo in front of central museum of Almaty. After all, a pretty impressive islam-type building.

Ok, so lets get on with the interesting stuff - Peteris (and Ulrik) birthday and the national dish evening at the same time. Well, what can I say shortly - it really was probably the best evening I had here in Kazakhstan so far! It was so much fun from the very beginning, everyone was in the kitchen, everyone preparing something, we also had some background music playing, the atmosphere was so live there, and so many smells and nice things to see! In total there were basically all the exchange students (20 or so), some 10 KISA members (mainly girls) and a few locals from the dormitories. Here is how the preparation part looked like, when everyone was still cooking:

What is more, my “Saltibarsciai” soup, which I actually made without Peteris, because he was in volleyball training was really succesful! I am happy for myself that I managed to do such a dish, as I am not a very good cook and only know how to make pasta, omlet and chicken fillet. Although I admit that I got a lot of help from local girls, who didn’t have what to do thus were very willing to help - with cutting everything and so on. But still, I was the project manager :) Finally, almost everyone really enjoyed the soup! I received a lot of compliments about it, including a few joke offers to be a husband, cause a man knowing how to make such a dish is really valuable :) Here is a photo of 2 kazakh girls trying out the soup (Bika and Demili):

Don’t want to waste space here showing what others did, but I will be able to share photos when I come back. In general, other people also made very tasty dishes - Rufina made a very tasty Kazakh meat pie, Kinga did a hungarian type beef meat (troskinys) with sauce, Koreans did a very interesting soup, Hong-kong people - boiled egg sandwiches with some sweet add-ons, Ulrik from denmark did wonderful small cold sanwitches with all kinds of add-ons, like shrimps, lemon, tuna etc. Finally, americans wouldn’t be americans if they wouldn’t have done hamburgers and hot-dogs. :) Though I admit the hamburgers were really tasty, despite their simplicity. What I liked the most? Probably the Hong-kong sandwiches, they were like a very tasty desert. I should ask how they are made exactly, the process itself is very interesting to watch - they take the prepared sandwich with sticks and then put it straight to boiling water for just some moments, and then take out.
After everyone prepared their dish we finished up trying everything out in the study room, even though not much was left, as we were eating each other’s dishes already in the kitchen. :) However, an important part was still yet to come - congratulating Peteris and Ulrik with their birthdays! We had 4 cakes in total with candles for that occasion, 2 of them bought by me and Kinga under the name of all exchange students :) Was really fun time. After most of the people left, we (me, Peteris, Charlses, Simon, Ulrik, Sundziun and a few locals from american football team) continued partying in our block with some beer and vodka. :)
Just before the end of this long entry, I want to add 2 photos from our american football training - finally Simon (our Polish neighbour) came and made some photos there. In the first photo you can see a very funny guy Alman, who makes jokes all the time, but you wouldn’t want to meet him on the football field in front of you very much. At least I don’t :) In the second photo you can just see some action going on. Make a notice that we really have BIG guys there, so its quite tough :) I will continue going to these trainings until serious basketball trainings will start, which should be in about 3 weeks. Take care!

An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write extra on this subject, it may possibly not be a taboo topic but generally persons aren’t sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
Following study some of the weblog posts on your internet site now, and I really like your way of blogging. I bookmarked it to my bookmark web-site list and will probably be checking back soon. Pls have a look at my web site at the same time and let me know what you feel.
You will discover surely a whole lot of particulars like that to take into consideration. That’s an excellent point to bring up. I supply the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly you’ll find questions like the one you bring up where essentially the most essential thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged about factors like that, but I’m certain that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls really feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
Iím not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your sites really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your site to come back later. All the best

Right now it appears like Drupal is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
I do not know if it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else experiencing problems with your website. It seems like some of the written text on your content are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well? This may be a problem with my browser because I’ve had this happen previously. Appreciate it
